The joint stock company Alfa Plastik has specialised in manufacturing plastic injection moulds since being established in 1955 when a branch of the company "Lisovna Novych Hmot" (Press Works) from the nearby town of Vrbno pod Pradedem was built in Bruntál.  

Since 1990 the company has operated its business as an independent firm having been privatised in 1994. In 1994 the company expanded into the Ukraine, establishing its subsidiary company Alfainterplast.

At the end of 2002 the company was taken over by the majority shareholder, PAC, spol. s r.o., Ostrava, Czech Republic.

In 2006 the company acquired through takeover the business activities of the former company Strojplast in Tachov, Czech Republic.

Today, Alfa Plastik with its 422 employees is among the largest Czech manufacturers of returnable plastic packaging for material handling. The company has delivered innovations to the market of returnable plastic packaging for over 40 years and is among the leading European plastic manufacturers using injection moulding technology.

Alfa Plastik has extensive know-how within the field of plastic injection moulding applying complex technology and tool production. All processes are certificated in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, and ISO 14001 standards.
